Sevennec can count on the support of Intersport Morzine! In 2022, Alexis leaves the French Ski Mountaineering Team to devote himself to his new sporting project: ultra-trail! For the Intersport Morzine teams, it seemed natural to join this great adventure by becoming a partner. A way to combine a common love of high-level sport and the mountains!
Sporting Club Morzine Vallée d’Aulps, moving mountains
Created in 1952, the Sporting Club Morzine Vallée d’Aulps is today an essential club in the department. With soon 300 members divided into around twenty teams from the U7 category to veterans, the club is labeled FFF/Nike École de Football, a label testifying to the quality work carried out by all the volunteers in recent years on a social level, educational and sporting. For Intersport Morzine, it is essential to support this football club, a major player in local life which offers an alternative to “winter” sports. The club allows the resort to shine in this discipline, in particular through the organization of the Tournament of Conscripts of the Vallée d’Aulps and the Tournoi des Montagnes which brings together each year, in June, for two weekends, 3 categories : U9, U11 and U13.
HCMA, more than just a partner
A partner of the HCMA for 30 years, Intersport has had many adventures with the Penguins. The climbs, the descents, the Ligue Magnus final… whatever the result, the Intersport stores in Morzine have always supported the club. It must be said that ice hockey is well anchored in the Tavernier family, particularly through its two leaders Benoit and Michel. From simple practice to professional career through volunteering, the family has always been very involved in the development of Morzine hockey, whether as volunteers, within the committee… and even for a few years as president for Michel Tavernier.
“Engagés sport”, concrete actions in favor of sport
Bringing more sport into everyone’s lives is the mission that drives all those involved in the Intersport network on a daily basis and gives us great responsibility. That of making sport ever more accessible, more supportive and more sustainable to live better together.
With the “Engagés Sport” movement, Intersport highlights the actions of more than 15,000 employees, who have already been acting for many years with concrete and committed initiatives for sport. Intersport Morzine is proud to carry out concrete actions in this context.
